ARKANSAS SALES TAX:
When getting a tattoo in Rogers, Arkansas, it's important to understand the sales tax. The sales tax rate in the city is currently 9.50%. This means that you'll need to pay an additional 9.50% on top of the tattoo's price. The tattoo shop will collect this tax from you and then send it to the tax authorities. However, keep in mind that sales tax rates can vary in different parts of Arkansas. So, it's important to check the rates in the city or county where you plan to get your tattoo. Understanding the impact of sales tax on the cost of your tattoo will help you prepare and know the total amount you'll be paying for this unique art.
BOOKING + INVESTMENTS:
Booking a tattoo appointment requires a deposit from clients to secure a spot and show commitment, which is a common practice in the industry. This serves as a form of insurance for the artist, protecting them from potential losses in the event of a cancellation.
Deposits are not only beneficial for the tattoo artist, but they also provide peace of mind for clients. By putting down a deposit, clients have the assurance that their appointment is confirmed and that their spot is reserved exclusively for them. This can be especially important for popular artists who have long waiting lists or for clients who are eager to get their desired tattoo at a specific time.
Furthermore, the deposit is typically deducted from the final cost of the tattoo. This means that clients are not losing any money in the process. Instead, the deposit serves as a form of down payment, allowing them to secure their appointment without having to pay the full amount upfront. This arrangement is beneficial for both parties, as it encourages commitment from the client while providing financial security for the artist.

Travis understands the importance of proper tattoo aftercare to ensure the best healing results and long-lasting vibrance of your artwork. Thats why we made this post-care guide to maintain the health and beauty of your tattoo!
IMMEDIATELY AFTER TATTOO
1. Leave the bandage on for at least 2 hours or until instructed by your artist. This allows the tattoo to seal and protects it from external bacteria.
2. Wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap before touching your tattoo.
3. Gently remove the bandage, avoiding any sudden movements that could damage the tattoo.
4. Using lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap, gently cleanse the tattooed area with your fingertips. Do not scrub or use a washcloth.
5. Pat dry the tattoo with a clean paper towel or let it air dry for a few minutes until no longer moist.
6. Apply a thin layer of recommended aftercare ointment provided by your artist.
DAILY AFTERCARE
1. Wash your tattoo gently with lukewarm water and mild soap 2-3 times a day. Avoid hot water as it can open pores and cause color fading.
2. After washing, gently pat dry the tattoo with a clean paper towel or let it air dry. Do not rub as it may irritate the healing skin.
3. Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment, such as petroleum jelly or a specialized tattoo cream recommended by your artist. Apply only after the skin is completely dry.
4. Avoid picking, scratching, or peeling the scabs or flakes that form on your tattoo. Let them naturally slough off during the healing process.
5. Avoid soaking your tattoo in water, such as swimming pools, hot tubs, or baths, until the tattoo is fully healed.
6. Protect your tattoo from direct sunlight and UV exposure. Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 or cover it with clothing when exposed to the sun.
GENERAL TIPS
1. Wear loose and breathable clothing, especially during the healing process, to prevent friction and irritation.
2. Avoid excessive sweating, prolonged sun exposure, saunas, and steam rooms during the healing process.
3. Avoid applying tight bandages or plastic wraps as they can trap moisture and inhibit the healing process.
4. Refrain from applying cosmetic products, such as makeup or lotions, directly on the healing tattoo.
5. If any unusual redness, swelling, or excessive pain occurs, consult a healthcare professional or your tattoo artist immediately.
Remember, proper tattoo aftercare plays a crucial role in the healing process. By following these guidelines, you can enjoy your new ink for a lifetime.
